The worst day so far. It started out well. I had taken the hoopla game in although Henry didn’t want to play it traditionally! I joined him when he was dropping the hoops behind the radiator and then he began sharing the hoops with me and realising when one was stuck because we couldn’t have 2 each – which was great (he also said thank you when I gave him a hoop!). We then played with them as hats (see photo!) and Henry counted to 10 nearly perfectly on his own before we fell o Read More >
We ended the week well last week, but had a shaky start yesterday mainly down to me! I struggled to get back into it and concentrate just on Henry, but having said that we still did alot. Henry has found a game that he really likes playing which I think is more of an ‘ism’ (repetitive and solitary) and involves dropping objects through a piece if clothing and I find it really hard to build on this and progress his learning when I do get green lights from him.

Its been a long week! Henry is so worn out he asked to go to bed at 5.20 pm, bless him! We have done some serious hours this week and I have got over my 2 hour mental block! We have done about 16 hours so far this week which is the most we’ve ever done and the longest Henry has spent in the playroom. Its working out well with me and Henry staying in the playroom from 11-3 (with Warwick bringing our lunch in ’cause once he is out its very hard to get him back in, which is what happ Read More >
Today’s session starred Mr Frog from the pop-up toy!
We started playing with the toy pretending it was asleep when he put him inside and that Henry had woken him up when he ‘popped’ him out! Then it turned into a catch game with froggy, then a throw and chase game intercepted with being certain farm animals (there are pictures on the wall of farm animals and if Henry threw the frog near one of these I became that animal, and I haven’t even had a glass of wine, although my Read More >
Had a great session with Henry today. Firstly he wanted to go into the playroom with me and we had really good fun. We played with the big crocodile puppet and I got Henry to say ‘feet’ making the crocodile attack his feet, then built on this with ‘get feet’ and then ‘get feet daddy’.
Then he asked for the finger puppets from the shelf and i held each one up and he named 19 of the animals correctly only getting stuck on 5! Did this 3 times and on the 3r Read More >
Henry isn’t in fantastic form at the moment. I think he is missing his sisters and is confused and starving..literally! He has had gluten free toast and dairy free spread again but has so far resisted the gluten free cereal and rice pasta (which actually look and taste okay!) I really feel for him that he is so confused but know we are doing the best thing for him. We are also managing to get the minerals down him although he can spot a sprinkling of vitamin a mile off!

Son Rise Session – me and Henry went into the playroom for two hours today as his sisters are staying with their Nanna and Grandad.
The session went well. We played with his ‘build a roary the racing car game’ and Henry said lots of things like ‘wheel on mommy’ and ‘roary fell over’ and answered some of my questions when I asked what certain objects are, like roary’s hat and his engine! He also made some good eye contact. He enjoyed doing some pain Read More >
