Wow! I’ve just been so lucky to take Henry to Nursery this morning and witness how amazing he is!
He hung his coat up and off he went with his friends!

I just wanted to write a post to say how proud I am of Henry and the joy and love that he brings to my life every day.
It’s been a long journey since we found out Henry had Autism in 2008 and I still remember that day well and the tears we shed as we drove home from the assessment.
At that time we had no idea how the next few weeks would be, let alone the next few years. We were scared for the future and for what sort of life Henry would have.

Henry has been to nursery and was amazing beyond amazing!
Thank you so much to everyone that has been there for us and Henry – he was a credit to all today and the hope and belief that everyone has always had in him.
He was shy at first and told me on the way that he would be shy with new people and he asked to take his teddy with him.

Katie Pearce and members of her family are running the Sutton Fun Run this year in aid of Helping Henry.
Katie’s sister Georgia is in Henry’s sisters class at school and after running for other charities asked if she could run for Henry this year.
We are so touched by her and her families thoughtfulness and know that they are busy getting lots of sponsors already.

Still the Saturday 8th May 2010 – I don’t know its like a bus, you wait for a age for one and then 2 come along together!!
Forgot to say about Henry’s food – in the last 2 weeks he has tried banana, kiwi, blueberry, cucumber, grapes, banana milkshake and freshly squeezed orange juice and liked 3 of them! We’re really sorry that we haven’t been updating the diary page for ages. We have now have some software which means it is easier for me to update the page on my own (although i have managed to delete the last 2 I’ve written so I’m hoping this one does manage to appear!)
At the end of April we had Henry’s annual review with the LEA and the great news is that they are going to continue to fund Henry’s program for the next 12 months which is a fantastic relief Read More >
